Training Curriculum
Module 9: Evangelism Training (1)
Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He specifically charged his disciples: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all peoples." (Mark 16:15) Therefore, all true believers should inherit the Lord's great work of saving souls, obey the will of the Father, and save the world.
Talking about the fundamental meaning of the Word
Spread the Gospel of the Kingdom to others freely (Matthew 10:7-8).
Spread Christ and present everyone perfect before God (Colossians 1:28).
Instruct the right way to be saved, so that people can believe and be baptized to be saved (Acts 2:37).
Therefore, preaching refers to a Christian who has been baptized or has been trained to talk about the truth of salvation with a friend wholeheartedly and sincerely. In other words, preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus to others, share the correct faith with them, and share the benefits of the gospel.
The substantive purpose of speaking (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
Break down the strongholds that the devil builds around the human heart - self-exaltation, arrogance and self-righteousness, self-confidence.
Capturing the truth-seeker's mind out of the hands of the devil, making it obedient to the saving truth of Christ.
Guide the other party to abandon evil and return to the truth, turn away from evil and follow the good, repent and believe in the Lord, and be baptized into the true church with the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Make him a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Go to heaven with him and share the abundant life of Christ.
The Lord Jesus wanted to save His people from their sins (Matt. 1:21), and today’s Christians are to work together with the Lord to complete the substantive work of saving people’s spiritual lives.
Talk about the basic understanding of the Word (Zechariah 4:6-7)
The great work of saving souls is not a matter of the world. It does not rely on power and talent, let alone one's own knowledge, eloquence and methods.
The special target of the battle of saving souls is the spiritual beings in the air, so it can only be accomplished by relying on the co-workers of the Spirit of God.
Being powerful before God is the main motivation for preaching work. Therefore, nothing but watchful, persevering prayer can do the trick.
The prerequisite for preaching - praying for the power of the Holy Spirit
Have the ability to practice the Word: Pursue love for others, glorify God and benefit others, make a good impression on people, and be able to influence people to believe in the Lord with good deeds; and have a good reputation to attract people to the truth (James 1:22-25; Timothy 2:4, 15; 1 Peter 3:1-2).
Ability to witness: to be able to explain the right way of salvation sincerely and courageously based on spiritual love, and to move people’s hearts with true testimony and save lives (Acts 2:14, 37-42, 4:20; Proverbs 14 :25).
Ability to intercede: to have the confidence to intercede physically and mentally for friends who are truthseekers, and to be able to be heard by God and to be effective. Signs and miracles and the abidance of the Holy Spirit prove that this church is the true church. Make it convincing and true (Acts 4:29-31, 5:12-16).
Always prepare
Pray for the filling of the Holy Spirit and rely on the leading of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 3:14, 16, 19, 6:18-20).
Be clear about the right way to be saved, and always pursue growth (Col. 1:25b, 3:16).
Pay attention to the life of faith and shine for the Lord everywhere (Matthew 5:16; 1 Peter 2:11-12).
Collect good testimonies and spread the gospel at the right time (Acts 4:20, 17:16-17).
Be brave, sincere and loving, determined to lead patiently (Proverbs 14:25a; 2 Timothy 4:2-5).
